Something a little different. These are copper contacts that are mounted on a liquid starter for a high voltage motor in a pumping station for the internal drainage board. They are immersed in a sodium carbonate solution and work as a soft start for the motor. After a period of time they become worn, start to arc and then eventually fail so need to be replaced.
